Why not help?
Why is it that people are too busy to help others? I heard recently that if there is one person around, then that person will typically help someone in need (typically a medical emergency). If there are many people, then often no one will help on the assumption that someone else will help.
Why can't we get our society to the point where everyone will help? Even if it is just calling on a cell phone (so as to prevent criminals from using our willingness to help against us).
If you see someone in need of help when you are driving, why not use your cell phone to call for assistance, if you have one. If you are going to the store and you see someone struggling with the cart or something else, why not take a moment of your time to help them. It will not take long, but the payback is well worth it when they say "Thank you".
When you are around others, constantly look around, which is a very good safety tip, but also notice if there is someone you can help. A parent trying to get stuff in their car with children. I suspect if you look around you will see someone you can help and it won't cost you much in the way of time and you will help to make this world a better place.
